The Audi Q7 is the perfect family car and is most commonly bought by couples with children. Family bloggers were given the opportunity to discover all of the features that make the Q7 so versatile, including variable folding options for the second-row seats, or the optional third seat row that now comes with electric adjustment. Audi experts illustrated the latest accident research findings and provided tips on how parents can make sure their children are buckled in properly. As well as exploring the main features of the Q7, the bloggers had the chance to put the Q7’s high-torque engine and sport handling through its paces on test drives.
The spacious interior of the Q7 makes it perfect for bigger families and is available optionally with longitudinally adjustable second-row seats and an electronic-folding third seat row. A large luggage capacity, ranging from 890 to 2,075 litres when the third row is folded down, means there is plenty of room for the whole family while a flat luggage compartment floor, along with electric tailgate as standard, means that loading and unloading is easy. All second and third row seats can be supplied with Isofix/iSize fixtures for child seats meaning that, with the front passenger side, up to six child seats can be installed.
One of the most important aspects of a family car is safety. The all-new Q7 recently received top marks in the Euro NCAP crash test, during which it scored very highly for its child safety, giving you piece of mind. It comes equipped with the latest assistance systems including Audi pre sense city as standard. This system provides an anticipatory warning and emergency brake to avoid accidents and protect pedestrians. Other systems include collision avoidance assist, turn assist and exit warning.
Longer drives will fly by with the latest in infotainment and connectivity. The new operating concept with the large touchpad MMI and natural language voice control means the system can be operated with ease. Rear seat entertainment with a 10.1” Audi tablet is available as an option and can connect digitally to the car or be used offline or on an external WiFi network when not in the car. Over a million apps, games, films, music tracks, audio books, e-books and Office application are available.
