Orders are now bring taken for the all-new Audi RS3 Sportback which is due to launch in Ireland in early September with a starting price of €66,750 OTR.
The latest generation of the award winning 2.5 TFSI engine in the RS3 produces 367 bhp and 465 Nm of torque and also has the ability to go from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 280km/h (upon request). The RS3 uses 8.1l of fuel per 100km and emits 189g/km of CO2, resulting in a road tax of €750.
The power of the 2.5 TFSI engine is directed to the quattro system by a seven-speed S tronic, which shifts even faster than the previous model. THe quattro system is designed to give the driver maximum enjoyment and uses torque vectoring based on intelligent software allowing the driver to steer directly into corners and perform controlled drifts on low-friction surfaces, if desired.
The body of the RS3 Sportback is 25mm lower than the Audi A3 Sportback. Many features have been designed exlusively for the RS including the pivot bearings of the front axle, the progressive steering, the RS-specific sport suspension and optional Audi magnetic ride adaptive damper control.
Available in eight paint finishes, customers can choose from a range of colours including two new shades, Nardo grey and Catalunya red (exclusive to the RS3 Sportback).
Marketing Director of Audi Ireland, Christian Gussen, said that the new RS3 "demonstrates Audi's transition from racetrack experience to road car performance in its key competencies of quattro and engine technology".
He continued "The enhanced driving experience is delivered thanks to engineering innovations in weight reduction, dynamic suspension improvement and quattro technology. Audi Sport continues to deliver remarkable performance figures."
The top model of the A3 range will be available at Audi Centre, South Dublin in September 2015. To find out more or to order please contact us today.
